The new Winston-Salem site is the start of something big. You’ll be joining an ambitious, family-owned company with a 50-year track record of high growth, excellent customer service, and looking after its people.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to build a new operation from the ground up. As the first US hire, you’ll run the site, hire the team, and help shape how we grow in America.
You’ll report to the UK COO and work closely with our owner/CEO and leadership team. We’ll give you full backing and the benefit of all our experience - but this is your site to run.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of our Winston-Salem facility
- Build and manage a small but growing, high-performing team
- Oversee production, quality, and safety standards
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all US regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Drive efficiency, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
- Represent the company with customers, auditors, suppliers, and partners
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience leading operations or production in manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of EHS and quality systems (OSHA, EPA, ISO)
- Practical, hands-on, motivating leadership style
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in growth environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
