Position Summary
Champion is seeking a Certified Asbestos Supervisor to oversee and manage asbestos abatement projects in Greensboro, NC and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise asbestos abatement crews and daily job site operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local asbestos regulations
- Maintain proper documentation, permits, and project records
- Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols
- Coordinate project schedules, staffing, and materials
- Serve as the primary point of contact on job sites
- Train and mentor technicians on proper abatement procedures
- Respond to on-call needs, including some weekend coverage
- Communicate with management regarding project progress and issues
- Ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion
Qualifications
- Current Certified Asbestos Supervisor certification required
- Prior asbestos abatement experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state asbestos regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and crews
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work on-call, including some weekends
