Position: Direct Hire - Maintenance Technician
Location: Mebane, NC
Shift: 3rd Shift
Position Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests and performing repairs across both the plant and office areas. Your expertise will cover troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase, single-phase, and DC electrical circuits, general carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, as well as equipment and electrical installations. Additionally, you will play an essential role in performing preventative maintenance and supporting the overall facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, including the installation and relocation of equipment.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures within heating, water, air, and sewer systems.
- Perform alterations, repairs, and maintenance on buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding, wood fixtures, and furniture.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections of assigned equipment, take necessary action to make repairs, and provide updates to your supervisor on the status of work orders and projects.
- Participate in daily meetings with your supervisor to prioritize and plan upcoming work orders and projects.
- Respond to unplanned maintenance requests from plant and office employees as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of plant operations and machinery to ensure effective maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental management system (EMS) procedures set
- Manage maintenance tasks and track asset performance using CMMS software.
