Delivery Driver

Job Description

The Delivery Driver will be responsible for ensuring that products are delivered safely and on time to the scheduled location. Upon arrival, the driver will greet the customer warmly, carefully unload the products either by hand or using equipment, and complete any necessary paperwork, all while delivering excellent customer service. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in every interaction with Pella customers.
  • Safely operate the company truck, ensuring timely delivery from the warehouse to the destination.
  • Load and unload the truck, handling products weighing over 100 lbs. frequently throughout the day.
  • Verify loads for quality and completeness before departure.
  • Load doors and windows securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Drive the truck along established routes to deliver products to jobsites and service storage warehouses.
  • Perform daily inspections of the assigned company vehicle and document findings in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain the assigned company vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Communicate with Delivery Supervisor during the shift to relay information as needed.  
  • Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, with hours ranging from 8 to 14 each day. Overtime is applicable after 40 hours.  Start time at 4:30am and end their day 5:00pm. 
  • All duties as assigned within the scope of the job.
   Required Qualifications:
  1. A clean driving record is required.
  2. 3+ years of Delivery Driver experience and or similar related experience. 
  3. CDL A or B license with current Health Card as required by DOT
  4. Must be dependable, neat in appearance, a good listener, and personable with good communication skills for direct customer contact.
  5. Must be able to lift/move heavy loads (100+ lbs.) continuously throughout the day, with assistance.
  6. Must be able to comply with the DOT hours of service regulations.
  7. High School Diploma or Equivalent
 
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Experience interfacing with customers in a professional and positive manner.
  2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  3. Manual transmission driving skills are a plus but not required.
  4. Work experience at a moving company (such as Two Men and a Truck, Allied, American Van Lines) is helpful.
