Summary:
The Piping Division Manager’s primary purpose is to manage piping labor staffing on jobs and to ensure proper piping material flow to jobs. The Piping Division Manager is also responsible for all aspects of managing the piping team including hiring, developing, and holding the team accountable, helping solve field issues/problems, staying on budget, ensuring material needs are met, communicating to the team effectively and driving process improvements that lead to better productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple crews at multiple locations effectively
- Maintains staffing schedule and works with project management team to determine staffing needs
- Hire, mentor, and develop piping team members
- Hold the piping team accountable to commitments
- Manage with a Safety-First mindset.
- Communicate effectively with customers on job sites
- Identify and address problems properly and promptly
- Manage labor hours and keep them at or below budget
- Embrace quality culture and seeks to reduce the number of quality errors and rework
- Train team members on safe use of equipment
- Conduct annual performance reviews and manage training and/or performance concerns
Qualification requirements:
- Prior management experience
- Pipe-fitting/welding experience; knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to read, translate and explain drawings and construction plans to teams
- Strong leadership with a hands-on approach

- Valid Driver’s license
- OSHA training preferred
- First Aid and CPR preferred

- Standing on a ladder and working more than 6ft above the ground and on a roof
