Machinist
 *Potential Direct Hire Opportunity!*
SUMMARY: Performs a variety of repetitive auxiliary and supplemental duties pertaining primarily to manufacturing. Adhere to prescribed procedures and verbal instructions to operate, set up, and program with minimal supervision to perform a variety of machine operations in our manufacturing process.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and program machinery including: Vertical/Horizontal Mills and LathesRead tape measure, calipers, and micrometers. Ability to feed raw material or parts in machines.Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.Read/interpret and follow blueprints.Regularly sustain physical capabilities throughout the day - Stand on concrete for extended periods of time.- Lift and move parts throughout the plant (up to 50 pounds). Follow all rules and safety codes within the company.Work in all areas of the shop on different pieces of equipment.Responsible for keeping the area he/she is working in clean and organized.Responsible for keeping all tools and devices he or she uses clean and in their proper places.Must be willing to learn and follow all procedures set by supervisor and company.Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality.Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements. 
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and meeting deadlinesPositive attitude and ability to handle highly confidential informationAbility to reflect positive attitude and disciplined work ethicAbility to work in a teamAbility to work independentlyHigh energy levelStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated experience in being a self-starterMust possess confidence, good judgment, energy and the right personality to work in a challenging environment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Fabrication experience desired.  Programming ability   KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Attention to detail (Quality) - Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisors. Flexibility. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed.Relevant knowledge to look up blueprints, production orders, key parts into inventory, and use the system as a tool to assist in production.Must perform operator preventative maintenance of equipment.Perform other assignments as directed by management

  5. Regularly lift & move materials up to 50 pounds. 
 Additionally, the facility and most of our departments are not climate controlled.     WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. General working conditions include an office environment, manufacturing, and warehouse, some of which are not climate controlled.  
Hours: 1st shift Monday-Friday 
Pay: $20-$30/hour
