Job Summary:
The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role ensures quality, efficiency, and safety while meeting production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or routers) to manufacture parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Maintain production records and report any defects or machine issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean.
- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous CNC operating or machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Basic knowledge of CNC controls and machining processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
