Our manufacturing client in the High Point area has a DIRECT HIRE career opportunity for an experienced Business Development Rep within the luxury furniture industry. MUST have experience within contract/trade within the furniture and retail sectors. Experience in the wood, interior design or furniture manufacturing industries ideal. Looking to previous success in building and growing customer relationships, developing new business, work with contracts and trade within retail/wholesale, and has a positive, friendly, and energetic demeanor.Great career path for someone who welcomes new challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts/market knowledge and understanding of how to close business transactions, deliver quality products and service and enjoys up to 50% travel and weekend work as needed for trade shows. Develop strong business relationships with key decision makers to increase and retain business
Prospect for new business opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers and share value and benefits of product
Research to develop market strategies to identify key companies and identify business trends in the area
Travel to current customers and prospects to foster and develop engagement and unveil future product needs
Brand company by defining features and benefits vs. competitors including strong trade show presence
Extensive work and communications with clients to negotiate and settle contract terms
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in Business
3+ years' experience in sales, account management or sales support role excited to enter into sales experience
MUST have experience with contracts and trade within retail industries preferably within furniture, interior design, wood, architecture or similar
MS Office proficiency including strong Excel for reporting, CRM experience
Passion for working in the interior design, furniture or architectural industries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, driven, team focused, confident, friendly, charisma and history of success in a customer relationship based role
