As our Control Panel Assembly/Wiring Technician you will be expected to work closely with our Team Leader to prioritize tasks to meet quality standards . You will perform tasks such as utilizing the bill of materials to make sure the correct components are used in the panel, mount components to back panels, enclosures, wire electrical parts using schematic (stripping wire, crimping lugs, continuity checks, ect…). You will read and understand internal technical documentation including assembly drawings and schematics, as well as external documentation including vendor catalogs, instruction sheets and industry standards. Route and bundle wires and cables neatly to meet wiring standards, point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation, as well as maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during tasks and provide feedback to the Team Leader and Engineering of corrections as needed. This position works at our Burlington and Graham locations. The skills you need to succeed in this role will be able to read control system wiring diagrams, follow verbal instructions, use simple math and interpret documents, as well as have a working knowledge of electrical theory, terminology, electrical schematics, proficient in the use of digital multimeters and various hand tools. . Must be able to Work with minimum supervision, maintain equipment and tools in a neat, clean and efficient work area.
