Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Temporary Accounting Specialist for a company in Greensboro.
This position will report to the Controller and has a pay range of $25-28/hr-DOE
This assignment is temporary through the end of December but could go to the end of May 2026
Schedule: This position requires 40 hours per week to be completed during regular office hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
Essential Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Support
- Review Contracts and Order documentation to accurately and timely issue invoices to customers and external partners.
- Accurately post Revenue and COGS in QuickBooks as instructed.
- Process Accounts Receivable payments per guidelines.
- Complete and accurately record AR payments via ACH or Check.
- Actively Collect on outstanding Accounts Receivables and provide updated status weekly to Controller.
- Answer email inquiries regarding Accounts Receivable invoicing and payments.
Accounts Payable Support
- Process billing and packing list from vendors according to digital AP workflow process.
- Follow 3-Way Match process for accuracy and confirm proper approvals.
- Accurately code and post billing into QuickBooks.
- Answer email inquiries regarding Accounts Payable billing and payments.
Accounting Support
- Calculate and File Quarterly North Carolina Use Tax Report and Payment
- Assist Controller with completion of assigned Month End reports.
- Assist in setting up new vendors and new customers.
- Maintains historical records by electronically filing documents as needed.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure customer and company’s needs are met.
Required Education, Certification, and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable Processes, including ensuring timely collections.
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable Processes, including 3-way matching and vendor management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, sorting/filtering, basic formulas) and Outlook (e.g., email communication with vendors).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
