Job Description

Graham Personnel Service is assisting a client in Statesville NC fill a 2nd shift Forklift Driver opening.
$18.25 an Hour
Responsibilities:
• Transport requested materials to and from various locations, including loading materials for machine production and finished products.
• If working in Logistics, verify all incoming deliveries match the company purchase order.
• Obtain and execute production schedules and shipping orders, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and processing materials.
• Store finished goods and raw materials in designated spots to eliminate the risk of damage or an incident.
• Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
• Operate forklifts, booms, cranes, and other machinery to handle materials, finished product and inventory safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections and keep daily inspection log of forklift and report any mechanical or electrical issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and standards at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to speed limits.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold safety guidelines, regulations (PPE, speed limits etc.) and standards in all material handling operations.
• Support training initiatives.
• Work adjusted schedules if requested to meet company needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or management team.
