As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a 2nd Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production floor during the evening shift. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of workers engaged in various aspects of metal fabrication and duct work manufacturing. Your primary objective will be to maintain production schedules, uphold quality standards, and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in metal fabrication and duct work production.- Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members to ensure production targets are met.- Monitor production processes to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all staff.- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and equipment operation.- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to optimize production efficiency.- Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, scrap, and downtime.- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the metal fabrication or related industry.- Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques and equipment operation.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.- Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions.- Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends as needed.
