Job Description
Auto Body/Industrial Painter *Direct Hire Opportunity!* Summary The painter is responsible to perform proper preparation of surfaces and application of painting materials to exterior surfaces. This position’s central responsibility will be improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Work Schedule:6:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday with overtime as needed. Pay: $18+/hour Based on experience Minimum Qualifications
1-4 years related experience and/or training
Maintain a safe work environment, achieve productivity goals, and be familiar with the quality standards
Successfully complete a pulmonary function test for respirator use
Successfully complete CRT test with rating of Medium or higher
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions give, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Must be able to perform simple shop math
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masks glass, trim and other parts not to be painted
Cleans, sands and prepares surfaces for painting
Cleans and maintains spray guns and other painting equipment
Ability to mix and match paint
Clean up work area daily
Essential Functions
Successfully complete a pulmonary function test for respirator use
Successfully complete CRT test with rating of Medium or higher
Ability to read and interpret data
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
