Tooling Technician *Direct Hire Potential!* Job Overview: The Tooling Technician programs and operates equipment in the toolroom to assist with the production of metal products. This includes working with tools, dies, jigs, and other equipment. You will handle various tasks with minimal supervision, such as using EDM, Haas Mill, and lathes, while following ISO/Lean Manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities:
Help resolve production issues related to workflow, rework, and efficiency.
Perform die and module changeovers, as well as maintain and sharpen dies.
Assist the Tooling Manager with drawings and programming on EDM and CNC Mills.
Maintain preventive maintenance on EDM and CNC Mills.
Troubleshoot and fix die issues in production.
Replace worn or broken dies/stamps as needed.
Use inspection tools, including Planar Inspection, to ensure quality.
Set up and operate toolroom equipment.
Keep the toolroom clean and organized.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
3-5 years of experience in programming and tooling.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Familiar with ISO and Lean Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen).
Ability to work independently, maintaining safety, cleanliness, productivity, and quality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves standing, sitting, and walking in a manufacturing environment.
Must use safety gear like glasses, shoes, and earplugs.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally climb ladders or work at heights using a safety harness.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with overtime as needed. Pay: Starting at $28+/hour based on experience.
