Shipping Supervisor *Potential Direct Hire Opportunity!* Overview: The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising warehouse employees to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on time while complying with company policy. Also acting as the liaison between workers and management and report on shipping activities. Come join the team of this local manufacturer! Responsibilities: • Monitor and oversee outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location and in good condition. • Research missing items, questions with orders, inaccurate bills of lading, etc. and provide resolution. • Provides end of shift reports and hand off to management. • Provide shift hand off to incoming supervisors. • Quality check to make sure weights are correctly posted, that correct charges are applied, and that shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areas and resolve issues with shipping orders. • Responsible for inspecting loading operations to make sure they follow warehouse and shipping specifications and to ensure proper use of warehouse space. • Oversee employees time and attendance. • Oversees new hire and training staff. Qualifications: • High School Diploma / GED • 5+ years leadership experience • 7+ years in a shipping environment • Ability to multitask • Ability to motivate others • Ability to lead from the front • Excellent problem solving skills • Excellent communication skills• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus Hours: 7am-3pm Pay: $27+/hour Based on experience
