Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTIONRECEIVING CLERKRURAL HALL ASSEMBLY PLANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS        
  • Working with Customer Service and Trucking companies to schedule in-bound loads in a timely
  • manner.
  • Follow-up on trucks that are late or reschedule dock times for delivery.
  • Dealing with Customer Service and Customers on any shortages, overages, or damaged materials.
  • Work with QA or Customer Service on any materials that may not be “ready” for use on the production floor.  
  • Oversee and distribute workloads for Checker Loader, and Temp drivers.
  • Working with Warehouse Clerks to ensure that materials are stored in a safe and proper manner with load tags visible.
  • Verifying receipts against delivery papers.
  • Verifying count and condition on all customers supplied products before signing bill of lading.
  • Promptly receiving all goods into inventory and noting any irregularities on receiver.
  • Safeguarding documents and promptly turning them into the designated authority.
  • Proper execution of Good Manufacturing Practices and insure that all receiving procedures are being followed.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS 
  • Unload vehicles.
  • Observe the condition of goods noting any irregularities.
  • Move goods into a warehouse location (physically as well as in the inventory system).
  • Maintain the orderliness and sanitation of the receiving area.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of lift truck including:
  •         Operating lift truck in a safe manner to preclude damage to product, equipment, facility, and per personnel.
  • Ensuring that the propane cylinders are in good condition, stored properly and safely, and kept full as required.
  • Ensuring that the electric lift is properly charged and batteries are properly filled.
  • Performing periodic routine maintenance checks on the lifts.
  • Responsible for servicing the production lines, including timely delivery of needed supplies to avoid production shutdowns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 
  • Must have at least five years’ experience in receiving and warehousing.
  • Must possess the necessary skills to perform reading, writing, and mathematics for all receiving procedures.
  • Must work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
  • Must maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.
