Job Description

High Priority - Maintenance Electrician, Day shift, 2-2-3, up to $40 BOEPrimary Tasks and Responsibilities, Maintenance and Electrical Technician must be able to:
  • Perform general math accurately and consistently.
  • Use a multimeter.
  • Understand Ohm’s law and apply.
  • Read electrical schematics including single line power instrumentation and relay logic in ladder format.
  • Troubleshoot equipment using diagrams, manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc.
  • Work from different heights.
  • Program timers, heat controllers, and VFD’s.
  • Build small and large control panels.
  • Identify all the different electrical parts.
  • Install conduits, cable wire, and pull wire and know which to use.
  • Size wire for correct amperage and voltage for fuses, breakers, solid state relays, transformers, power supplies, 2nd overload drives, etc.
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and written) with leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Performs varied maintenance duties including but not limited to preventive maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Be proactive, exercise sound judgement and decision making.
  • Ensures work area is kept clean.
  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Have ethical conduct.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Should be able to put in a request to order proper parts when needed.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with extrusion, flexo printing, and bag converting machinery preferred.
  • Experience with MVP Plant or other computer-based CMMS program
  • Strong Knowledge of motor started/control circuits and motor operations.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with AC DC drive troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
  • Obtain knowledge of three-phase 480 VAC.
  • Understand Operation of instrumentation including thermocouples, load cells, proximity switches, pressure transmitters and other sensors.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
  • Excellent mechanical/electrical comprehension/ability.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good physical shape for motor controls.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Good housekeeping skills a must.
  • Ensure all materials and tools are properly used and returned to proper storage.

 Working Conditions:
  • This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses tools to weld, fabricate, solder, build, repair, etc. machinery.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and occasionally lift products up to 50 pounds.
  • This position may have exposure to hazards such as dust, high noise levels, solvent fumes, and medium heat.
