As the Continuous Improvement Specialist, reporting to the Plant Manager, you will coordinate and lead the execution of the continuous improvement strategy for the site. You will deliver main CI initiatives and influence engineers and operators to utilize CI best practices, research, and execute CI projects.Key Responsibilities
Identify, scope, and implement CI projects; responsibilities include project selection, scope and overall assignment, launch, prioritization tracking and deliverables.
Work with leaders, engineers, and operators to coach CI methodologies.
Ensure the instruction and use of best practices (e.g., Kaizen, Identifying Waste, 5S, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Total Productive Maintenance).
Conduct Lean Assessments, define action plans to close gaps and track execution across departments.
Work with Operators to ensure they are trained and assist them as they improve manufacturing efficiencies utilizing best practice CI tools/techniques.
Qualifications
3+ years proven experience with Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles, tools, and willingness and ability to teach others
Posses a passion for Continuous Improvement
Demonstrated Interpersonal Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
