2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor Direct Hire Potential! Position Overview: The 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor will lead and manage warehouse staff to ensure all shipments are accurately prepared, shipped, and received in a timely manner, while adhering to company policies. This role also serves as a key link between workers and management, providing regular reports on shipping operations. Join a growing team at a local manufacturing company! Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all items are shipped to the correct destinations and are in good condition.
Investigate and resolve issues related to missing items, incorrect orders, and billing discrepancies.
Prepare end-of-shift reports and handovers for management and incoming supervisors.
Perform quality checks to ensure correct weights, charges, and the movement of shipments between shipping points and storage areas.
Inspect loading operations for compliance with warehouse and shipping standards, optimizing space utilization.
Manage employee attendance and supervise staff.
Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
7+ years working in a shipping/warehouse environment.
Strong multitasking and leadership abilities.
Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Shift Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Compensation: Starting at $27+/hour, based on experience
